About

Kees van den Heuvel was born in the sixties and grew up in Eindhoven in the south of the Netherlands. After a severe car accident in 1975 he became infected with the disco phenomenon brougt by the legendary DJ Ferry Maat with his famous soulshow. After hearing the first blending and mixing techniques he tried himself to get along with Lenco turntables and a cheap mixer. In 1980 the original wheels of steel, the Technics sl 1200 MKII and a Bozak CMA 10-2DL rotary mixer were bought.

During college time in the end of the eighties he played in a club called "The Gallery" in Tilburg as wll as on many parties. Disco was about dead so a mixture of "old" disco with "new" house was played. That was a big party time. The Gallery was the place he met Giel who also spinned some vinyl there. They joined forces and from that time on they were playing on big parties.

In 1995 Kees graduated in two disciplines: business economics and accountancy and became a financial director in a large transport and logistic service provider. In 2005 he was asked with Giel to play on an occasional flashback party with vinyl records. That party was a big blast. They joined forces and again with succes.
